On the way home this evening, "How Sweet It Is (to be Loved By You)" was on the radio.
...I think it was a God thing...
L is for the way you look at me.
O is for the only one I see.
V is for the very - extraordinary.
E is for everything and anything
that you adore.
Then E is for enduring hope, to
see you through.
Y is YES we love you, oh yes we do.
Please feel our hearts with your heart.
Your HP's there even when it looks too dark.

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge - myth is more potent than history - dreams are more powerful than facts - hope always triumphs over experience - laughter is the cure for grief - love is stronger than death”

Lovey,
I believe that God works through each of us and you have been my teacher for 18 years. Thank you and I will continue to listen to your words. I love you with all my heart.

"Only the open gate can receive visitors. Only the open hand can receive gifts. Only the open mind can receive wisdom. Only the open heart can receive love."
this quote by Joan Walsh Anglund expresses all that I've learned from Lovey! In my heart always.

In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.

Lovey, I can never express in words what you mean to me, but I know you know and for that I am grateful...25 years is a long time to love and at the same time feels like no time at all

you are my sister
I will sleep peacefully tonight because of you and hope you will too
now I'm remembering a song we had to learn as kids... I didn't like it then, but its running through my head like a sweet refrain... here goes...i'm singing this to you
now run along home
and drop into bed

this very same thing
i say unto you

Mumala,
Although there have been many miles between us for many years now I have always known you were just a phone call away. I know that you will always be just a call away - I will always think of you often.
Eternal love to you Miss Lovey.
Chris
There are many people
that we meet in our lives
but only a very few
will make a lasting impression
on our minds and hearts
It is these people that we will
think of often
and who will always remain
important to us
as true friends

I love your updated picture...you are so beautiful. You are one of the most beautiful people I know. It was really nice to see you on Saturday and your beautiful family. See you soon. Love, Angela

How beautiful the open door,
the outstretched hand,
the generous heart...
We were a raggedy bunch of Taboo fiends - on Fridays, your home was ours. You just don't know, Lovey, when something so simple you say, as "Welcome in", or something you so simple you do, as throwing open your kitchen to a few cooks and bottle-washers, can open another's heart, touch a life - and leave behind a miracle.
Thank you. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you unfold your bright new wings to the sunlight and begin this part of your butterfly journey.
Godspeed - love, Rebecca
Spirit be with you in the long time light. I send your drum prayers from the ancients.
Beacon your drum call home. I drum for clear passageway into... goddess's miracle arms.

'Allo darlin' it's Glynis - the one with the long hair and bobbie pins. I can't believe you're 60! I've always thought you were at least 5 years younger than me - I'm 58. You've inspired me - as you usually do. I'm going to try those water chi exercises for my excruciating back pain. It sounds like it really helped you. You look fabulous in that video. Jackie and I were talking about you a while back, going through the photo album with your wedding pictures. Such a lovely day. We're thinking of you Lovey - and Marilyn, hope you are both comfortable and feeling the love all around. All our love, Glynis and Jackie

person that you have remained through
your sobriety
I am in Seattle working on the 787

I hope you slept peacefully last night mammela,
love you,
Laura R.
Lovey Dovey - I'm sitting at your computer while you are being massaged and tended to (just what you love, and justly so). I can smell the Cornbread Casserole Pudding I just made for you, and once again we are sharing our lives with each other. We are Scrabble buddies, yes, but more important, you always understood and felt me, and I you, when it came to our families. We are family (a great song, no?) You know I love you to pieces. Thanks for the memories. Marilyn H.
poem for Lovey 2/6/07
I have taken to sleeping in “lovey things”-
Her shawls sprawled all over the bed
Her jewelry in the pink soft purse she gave me in the corner nightstand by my head
I wrap myself in her warmth, her light
I have taken to waking with “lovey things”
A scarf
A necklace
A prayer
An affirmation
I wrap myself in her memory

Lovey, Lovey Lovey
I am so far away by miles..Vancouver Canada, but as always feel your presence, your incredible spirit and see your smile ...loud and clear. I know you are surrounded by love and the kindness of all of us that were so priveleged to have had you in our world.
Know I am with you there, red lipstick and all! Sending you my love and prayers for you and your family through this transition...
G-d speed, Lovey
Denise

Hola Baby,
I just wanted you to know that I think of you every day and it brings a smile to my face. Helps to melt this darn snow away if only for a moment.
I love you my dear.

Today is Marilyn's 50th birthday. I am glad that Lovey has made it to see this day.
Today, Marilyn and I started placing butterfly-attracting plants for the butterfly garden we are creating in their backyard.
As soon as we finished, butterflies fluttered all over the plants. Neither of us have seen so many butterflies in the yard at one time.
It feels like Lovey is nearing her transition. Her counts are down and she is jaundiced again.
This has been such a hard process-letting go, holding on-- how much to hold on and how much to let go....
sleep peacefully my friend, you are safe....the
butterflies are starting to flock to your garden.
x
Love always,
Laura R.

inspirational quotes for this time
I am not I
I am not I
I am this one
walking beside me, the one I cannot see;
the one I sometime see
and at other times forget,
who is silent and calm when I speak,
the one who forgives sweetly, when I hate,
who walks where I am not,
the one who will remain standing when I die.
